Encode Designer Website: Reimagining Design

After finally solving my float problem in class, I started to think about maybe going a slightly different direction with my design.  I was never really happy with the digital translation of my sketches; it became far to top-heavy & the colors didn't feel in synch.

The bottom screen shot above is my new preference.  It keeps the title of the page clean and classy, while bringing in the color & angular elements Van Doesburg is known for.  It's not as overtly geometric as I ideally wanted, but it may actually read better this way.

Encode Designer Website: Coding & Troubleshooting

It would seem bringing my sketches to life is giving me a bit of trouble.  After spending almost all class Thursday trying to figure out why my blue boxes aren't staying within the yellow main div, I decided just to start over.  Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be a corrupted document causing me troubles, as the new document is displaying the same troubles.

In spite of layout troubles, I worked more on the branding for the site.  Here is the completed logo/title for the webpage.
